  •  Gunns Limited This is the web site of the proponent of the mill.  The menu will direct you to the pulp mill site that includes the IIS and relevant project descriptions .

 

  • AET Environmentally Preferred Paper This web site provides a discussion on the merits of modern bleaching technology.  It shows the environmental benefits of current elemental chlorine free processes.

 

  • World Bank’s IFC Pulp Mill standards: The IFC has recently released final standards for pulp and paper mills. The Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Guidelines are technical reference documents with general and industry specific examples of Good International Industry Practice

 

  • Department of Environment: This link gives details of the Commonwealth approval of the project.  Conditions related to that approval, and the independent advice of the Department and the Chief Scientists. Panel of experts

 

  • Tasmanian Department of Justice  provides the details of the Tasmanian approval and permits for the mills construction and operation. The Department also hosts various reports undertaken in accordance with the Pulp Mil assessment Act 2007.
